GRAIN SILOS OF THE WIMMERA & MALLEE
Ian Hill studied photography at Prahran College from 1986-88. He worked on several
long term projects documenting urban redevelopments in Melbourne from 1992-2003.
Two series of landscape photographs from his Flinders Ranges series were exhibited
at the CCP in 1996 and Horsham Regional Gallery in 1998.
“Grain silos of the Wimmera and Mallee” was exhibited at SPAN gallery in 2005 and
Horsham Regional Gallery in 2007.
“The Riverina series” was exhibited at Bendigo Art Gallery in 2012.
Hill has photographs in the collections of the State Library of Victoria, National Library
Canberra, Mitchell Library NSW, Monash Gallery of Art, Horsham Regional Gallery,
City of Melbourne, Hume City Council and Methodist Ladies College.
He received an arts project grant from City of Melbourne in 2005 and commissions
from the State Library of Victoria (City Link 1998) and National Gallery of Victoria
(documentation of gallery redevelopments 1998).
The photographs may be presented in a range of sizes from 30x40cm – 76x102cm
All prints are on fibre base silver gelatin paper toned with selenium and archivally processed.
